2016 Blogger Roundup: My Favorite Blogs!

I realized something recently: I follow a LOT of blogs. I'm always finding more and more blogs that I love, so I think that there really is no such thing as too many when they are all amazing! In fact, as I was typing up this post, I started reading a blog (and generally being distracted), and through that blog, I just found and followed four new ones. The list never stops growing...ever.
 ANYWAYS, here is a list of my favorite blogs (or favorite blogging peoples...whichever you prefer), complete with a short description/recommendation/opinion from Yours Truly. :) Ok, here we go!

// Abbiee
OK, this blog has made it's way to my number one favorite of all time, and deservedly so! Every time I read one of Abbiee's posts, I come away feeling encouraged, inspired, and just generally happy. I have learned so much from this girl already, and I highly recommend checking out her blog!

// A Writer's Faith
I love Katie's blog. The character that she puts into her writing makes each post so much fun to read! I have learned a lot about writing from her, and I always look forward to a new post!

// Quaintrelle
I have followed Michaela's blogs for a while now, and Quaintrelle continues to be one of my favorites! Her writing is deep and powerful, and I love it.

// Blackberry Morning
I really like this blog. Sarah is extremely talented at cake decorating, which is always something that I enjoy hearing about, and I love her pictures. Her blog is simple, but really amazing, and I find it very enjoyable to read.

// Whimsy & Co.
I very recently started following Whimsy & Co., but I have already gotten some great ideas for how to improve my blog. I recommend this one for all of my fellow blogger peeps! :) There are tips for blog design that I found really helpful as well! (OH! Speaking of design, I am going to be updating my blog design really soon, so be looking out for that!)

I hope you found this list helpful! Let me know if you found a new favorite, or if you have any suggestions for me, I'd love to hear them! (Because I'm always looking for new blogs to follow. ;) )

Have a lovely day!!

~P.S. A Penny for your Thoughts?~
I want to know what kind of posts you want to see from me...I hit a sort of dry patch with blogging, and I really want some ideas for what you enjoy the most from this blog. I want to put out content that interests my readers and that I can be proud of. So...what are your thoughts? Is there a kind of post that I have/haven't done that you really enjoy? Is there something that I need to fix or change? I mean, we are talking about the future of what your eyeballs will be subjected to reading on here, so by all means, tell me! Thank you so much, my lovely people! :) ♥

Liebster Award Tag!

*via Google images

Hello, everyone! I was recently nominated for the Liebster Award tag by Abby over at Abby and the Pens, and I am super excited about participating!
So, here are the rules:
1.) Link back to the person/blogger who tagged you
2.) Answer the 11 questions you have been asked
3.) Tag 11 bloggers who have less than 1,000 followers
4.) Come up with 11 of your own questions to ask them
5.) Let them know that they have been tagged

Ok, here are the 11 questions that I was asked along with my answers:

1. Last song you listened to?
 "You Will Never Run" by Rend Collective.

2. Favorite children's book?
 I am not completely sure, but I do remember that I absolutely loved Dr. Seuss. I'm pretty sure we owned every single one of his books!

3. Inspirational quote?

"I would rather be what God chose to make me than the most glorious creature I could think of; for to have been thought about, born in God's thought, and then made by God, is the dearest, grandest, and most precious thing in all thinking." ~C.S. Lewis

4. Ice-Cream or Cupcakes?
 Ice cream! It was actually somewhat difficult to figure this out, because I really do love cupcakes! However, you can't get the rich, creamy, coolness of ice cream from a cupcake, so I have to vote in ice cream's favor. :)

5. If you could live anywhere for a month, where would it be?

Ooohh, I love this question. I think I would love to live in Australia. There is so much beauty in nature there that I could probably deal with the threat of crocodiles and snakes! However, London is dreamy too...

6. If you could eat lunch with anyone, who would it be?

I wish Elizabeth Elliot were still alive, because that would be something so incredible. However, Ann Voskamp is also another person that I find so encouraging. I love her heart for Christ and others, and I think even one afternoon with her would be truly beautiful.

7. If you could instantly speak one language fluently, which one would you choose?

Spanish! I am learning it, but I would love to be able to speak it with little to no effort. I find other languages fascinating, and I think Spanish has a beautiful sound to it!

8. What are 3 things/people that inspire you?
I already said this, but Ann Voskamp is someone who I find very uplifting and inspiring. Also, Elizabeth Elliot is one of my favorite authors, and an amazing representation of what a woman of God looks like. Some of the people I find most inspiring are the ones who have terminal illnesses or other such things, yet they don't allow those things to shake their testimony or define them. I think of people like Joni Eareckson Tada, who uses her testimony as a tool to reach people for Christ. She doesn't sit home and mourn the fact that she is paralyzed, but instead she has taken advantage of what she does have, creating beautiful art and impacting millions of people through her story.

9. When was the last time you laughed and why?
I was just laughing a minute ago, actually! You see, I live in a crazy family, and somebody is always up to some kind of crazy antic, so there is almost always something to be laughing about. :)

10. What is something that simply makes you happy?

I love being around children. They have such an innocent desire to learn things and discover things, and I love watching them grow up and get excited whenever they find something new. Honestly, I feel energized after spending time with little kids, and I unfailingly come away with funny stories of their adorableness.

11.  The best thing about blogging so far?
I think what I love about blogging the most is having a place to write down my thoughts, and also having a place to express my creativity. I love coming up with new ideas for posts, connecting with other people, and also hearing from people who read my blog. It is all something that I really enjoy and love to do.

Now it's time for me to nominate 11 people for the tag! I nominate:

Michaela @ Quaintrelle

Ok, here are my 11 questions!
1. Coffee or tea?
2. One thing you want to accomplish this year?
3. What is your favorite season?
4. If you could suddenly be really good at something, what would it be?
5. Are you a Cat person or a dog person?
6. Favorite quote?
7. What is your favorite book?
8. What is your favorite holiday?
9. Your top three bloggers are...
10. What is a favorite hobby of yours?
11. What inspired you to start a blog?

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you participate in the challenge; it really is a lot of fun!

Talk to you soon, lovelies!

these are a few of my favorite blogs...

Hello, lovelies! What a beautiful Saturday! I am sitting down with a cup of coffee to do a rather last-minute-idea kind of post.

This is a little bit of a different post, but I thought it would be really fun to do a roundup of some of my favorite blogs. I follow tons of blogs, and I'm always finding new ones to add to my list! Hopefully you can find a few favorites of your own among these. There are some really great blogs out there, and I'm really excited to tell you about them! Enjoy! :)

Purple Ink Studios: I actually just found this blog recently, and I already love it! The design is really cute, and her posts are thought provoking and very well written. Her writing style is very conversational and friendly, which makes it easy to read and understand what she is saying. She directs her posts mostly at girls/women, so that's who I mainly recommend it to.

Fresh Modesty: This blog is one that I really enjoy reading. It has some really cute outfit ideas that are still modest and classy.There's not only fashion posts, she also does some posting about her life,which really makes it all even more personal and enjoyable.

Quaitrelle: Quaintrelle is probably my favorite blog to read. The writing draws you in, and the design is beautiful. I have learned a lot from Michaela, and there is never a time when I come away from reading her blog without being inspired or uplifted in some way. I recommend this blog to everybody!

IHeart Organizing: It has probably become apparent that I am very fond of organizing. It's a hobby of mine, really. I actually just discovered this blog a few days ago, but it is already a favorite. It is full of great ideas and decorating tips, which I love. I am also a fan of lists, so I find that these templates are really cute and fun to print off and use.

Hem of His Garment Ministries: This is not only a blog, but an entire ministry. There are so many things that I have learned and been challenged on from them. Their passion for God is very evident, and is pasted all over their website. I also really love their YouTube channel, where they give helpful tips for modest fashion, and they also started doing video Bible studies. I really love their entire ministry, and I am always looking forward to new devotionals from them!

I have so many other blogs that I could put on this list, but I wanted to keep it a little shorter. I highly recommend these blogs for various reasons of their own. Each one has encouraged me or inspired me in some way, and I hope they can do the same for you.

Do you have any favorite blogs that you would like to share about? Let me know in the comments below!
