January Resolutions {2016}

Hello, everybody! Today I am finally getting around to posting my January Resolutions! I know, it's a little late, but I didn't want to flood the blog with too many posts in a week, so I waited a few more days. :)
I am hoping to be able to do my resolutions and a report card each month this year, so stay tuned!

1.) Write every day
This has been a goal of mine in the past, but I really want to push it this year. I joined a writing class, and I really want to develop my writing style this year. I read that writing every day really helps with that, so I am going to work towards that habit!

 2.) Read Anne of Green Gables
As you probably know, I started the 2016 Anne of Green Gables Reading Challenge! This month's book is the first in the series, Anne of Green Gables, so I am currently in the middle of it! I am actually realizing how much I missed before! I think I skimmed the long dialogue, and I missed so many awesome quotes! I'm really looking forward to reading the rest!

3.) Focus more on music
As some of you may know, I play piano and violin, and I have also taken an interest lately to singing. I am taking piano lessons, but I am learning violin on my own, and I am really hoping to push myself this month to really get comfortable with my violin and learn to play it better. I managed to carve out an hour a day in my schedule just to focus on my music, and I really want to see some progress by the end of the month!

4.) Read more
This is along the same lines as the second one, but I really do want to read more in general this month. These days, so much time is spent on electronics and such that we don't really take the time anymore to just sit down with a good book and read. I'm resolving to take at least an hour or two a day to unplug and read a book. I personally love anything literature, reading, or bookish, so I'm really looking forward to it. :)

So those are my resolutions for January! If you have resolutions for this month, I'd love to hear what they are! You can do your own resolutions post and link it down below, or you could just list them in the comments.

                                                                                         Have a lovely day! :)

    1. Hello, Kate! I'm sooooo sorry, I totally forgot to reply to your comment! *gives you cake as a token of repentance*
      Wow, I hope you are able to keep up on your classes! School for me is enough a time-eating crocodile that I don't know if I could do all of the extras! Well done! *emphatic nod*
      Thank you for telling me about your giveaway! I'll look into it!
      Oh, and many warm thanks for visiting my blog!
