Making Resolutions (Summer 2014)

I am usually not one to do resolutions, since I generally have difficulty following through with them, but I need to break that habit, and actually do some things this summer. Sharing my resolutions with others also has accountability involved, which is a huge motivator. So here goes my feeble attempt at changing a few things about myself! Hop on board!

// Re-organize/maintain organization in my room: I can organize my room perfectly, but no matter what, it somehow manages to come undone. I am hoping to keep up with it this summer!

// Find/Read lots of books: I don't really have a ton of books to read that I haven't already read, so I am going to try to find some new ones. I also just got my library membership, so that will help greatly! I'd love any suggestions!

// Keep up with blogging: This is always a huge thing for me. I managed to post every day during the photo-a-day challenge, but we'll see if I can keep it up!

// Start School/Get ahead: I am hoping to graduate early, therefore, I am starting 10th grade early. If my calculations are right, (yes, I used algebra to do it too!) then my plans will work. That's the great thing about being homeschooled!

// Faithfulness with Bible Reading: I usually read my Bible every morning, but when we get into summer, and things are more relaxed, it's easy to slack off and skip a few days. I really want to stay faithful with it, as it is a necessary part of my day!

// Consistent Journaling: I really want to keep up with journaling. It helps me soo much at the end of the day to be able to write everything down, and see everything on paper. Trust me, it's well worth it!

So, there are my summer resolutions. (or, at least, all that I can think of at the moment.) I would love to know what yours are (If you have any) and we can keep in touch to stay accountable!

And now I leave you with a quote, as I will now do at the end of all of my posts. Don't be surprised if it is extremely random, because that's just what I do...

  • "I'd like to add some beauty to life," said Anne dreamily. "I don't exactly want to make people KNOW more... though I know that IS the noblest ambition... but I'd love to make them have a pleasanter time because of me... to have some little joy or happy thought that would never have existed if I hadn't been born.”

    1. I really like Fiction and non-fiction stories about animals. I like pretty much any Fiction books as well. I'm not too fond of fantasy, but the Narnia books are awesome.

    2. I have a Goodreads (https://www.goodreads.com/) account too...you should get one..it's really awesome. They suggest books that they think you would be interested in, and you can rate the ones you have read. There are bookshelves that you organize your books on so you can find them later.

  3. Megan, A few suggestions for books:
    - The Sparrow Found A House ( it has nothing to do with birds)
-In Grandma's Attic series (it reminds me of what we did.)
    - Wives and Daughters -Emma -Cranford - North and South (the last four have been made into movies, but, I don't think you would like the North and South movie. It's dark and dreary)
