2016 Anne of Green Gables Reading Challenge

I love Anne of Green Gables. If you know me well, you probably know that this book series is my favorite of all time. I have read most of the series in the past, but recently I had the thought that I should read them all again. I mean, reading books is always something I'm open to, but never really take the time for. I am hoping to be able to get back into reading books more next year, and this is a great opportunity to do that!
I found this challenge over at Purple Ink Studios , and I was really excited about it! Basically, I'm committing to reading all nine of the Anne of Green Gables books in 2016. Normally, I read books very fast...especially if it's a book that is really good. However, I really want to read these over slowly, taking notes and such as I go. I may end up posting some book reviews on each one as well, but I'm not sure about that yet. We will have to see how it goes! :)
As I mentioned before, there are nine books in the series: Anne of Green Gables, Anne of Avonlea, Anne of the Island, Anne of Windy Poplars, Anne's House of Dreams, Anne of Ingleside, Rainbow Valley, Rilla of Ingleside, and The Blithe's are Quoted
I have not read Rilla of Ingleside, Rainbow Valley, or The Blithes are Quoted. Apparently The Blithes are Quoted was published later on, and I had never heard of it! I'm really looking forward to finding and reading it!

I am beyond excited for this challenge! Not only do I get to read my favorite book series of all time, but I get to set goals and work towards accomplishing them, which is something that I really love to do.

So, with all of that being said, it's your turn! This challenge is open to everyone who wants to do it, so if you have a blog, you can comment below with a link to your own post. If you don't have a blog, but still want to do the challenge, just comment below and let me know! Let's do this together! :)

  2. I will join you Megan! It is my favorite series as well. I love the way you suggested reading slowly. Reading fast has never been my best thing. ;-) Love you and miss you. ~Abby <3 <3 <3

  3. I hope you love it!! Anne Shirley is so, so fun. I haven't read all the books: just the first and last.

I hope you don't mind, but I wanted to share my friend Naomi's blog with you, if you haven't met her yet:
