~Wisteria Writer Tag~

Hello, everybody! I was recently tagged by Emily over at A Purpose and A Promise for the Wisteria Writer's Tag! (Psst..She has a really cool blog--you should definitely go give her a follow!) Thank you for the nomination, Emily!! ♥

Let's get into it! :)

Here are the rules:
1.) Thank the blogger who nominated you
2.) Answer the ten questions
3.) Write ten questions of your own
4.) Nominate ten other people for the tag!

Are you writing anything at the moment? If so, what?
Right now, I am mostly just writing blog posts and random things that come to mind, but I am planning on starting my novel this week, so I'm really excited!

Who inspires you to write?
When I was younger, I wrote books and stories with my best friend, Abby, all the time. We are both still writers, (although hopefully our quality has greatly improved!) and she inspires and motivates me a lot.
My parents are also two of my biggest supporters, and I probably would not be writing still if it wasn't for their encouragement and support! ♥

What resources do you typically use when writing?
Websites with writing advice/prompts, and my imagination! :)

Writing pet peeve?
When I get interrupted during a peaceful writing moment. :p

Reading pet peeve?
When I have to stop reading in the middle of an amazing book! I almost go insane inside when I have to wait to get back to it!

Have you ever designed a book cover? If so, can we see a picture?
I have not designed a book cover! Ok, maybe I drew a picture on a piece of notebook paper and wrote the title above it, but that was when I was really little. I don't think that counts.. :p

What's your favorite thing about writing?
I love the creativity that goes into writing! Every writer does things slightly different than the last, and it is SO cool to see all of the little quirks that each person has!

Have you ever taken writing classes?
Yes! When I was about eleven or twelve, my parents got me a writing course that I went through. I also went to a writing class for one semester last year.

Favorite place to write?
I have a beautiful desk in my writing area that I love to sit at, and I also really love writing outside! It has been so humid lately that it hasn't been very fun, though.

Are you a planner or a pantser, when it comes to writing?
I am mostly a pantser, but I do like to have a little bit planned before I start something. Whenever I would start a book, I tried to plan it too much and ended up hating the idea, so I have definitely become more of a pantser as of late. :)

Ok, here are my questions:
Are you writing anything at the moment? If so, what?
What genre of writing do you like best?
When did you start writing?
Do you prefer writing on pen and paper or digitally?
What is your favorite thing about writing?
What is your least favorite thing about writing?
What is your favorite thing to write? (novels, poetry, short stories, etc.)
When do you write best?
Where do you like to write?
What (or who) inspires you the most when writing?

And I tag: (I'm only tagging five people because I can't think of ten lol)
Abbiee
Oh, and I also tag YOU! *tag, you're it!* :p

This post was so much fun to put together! You should definitely do this tag! If you don't have a blog, I would still love to see your answers, so leave them in the comments!! :)

Have a lovely day! :)

  3. Hey Megan! Thanks for the tag. :) <3
I think I'll pass on doing it this time though... I do write, but usually only the odd short story, poem or song. I feel this tag is more suited for people who have longer term projects!:) So thanks and I am honoured but I think I'll pass. Have a fantabulous day!

  4. GETTING INTERRUPTED IS THE WORST.
And I totally get the pantsing-with-a-bit-of-planning thing! I used to be a complete panther, but now I'm trying to plan a little first so I don't get stuck halfway through XD

  5. I haaate getting interrupted. I don't know what it is about my room, but I kid you not, every time I'm writing or editing, I'll be about ten minutes going and really getting into it and suddenly my dad appears and so does my little brother and my sister and my older brother and they start having Rubik's Cube battles and rubber band fights and watching loud, weird YouTube videos ALL IN MY ROOM. And they don't even really talk to me, they just hang out in my room. I have no idea why and it's so ANNOYING BECAUSE I'M TRYING TO WORK HERE GUYS. IT'S A VERY SERIOUS THING I'M DOING. LEAVE ME ALONE. Even though it's annoying, it is kind of funny though, and I've gotten good at writing with loooots of distractions which will hopefully continue to benefit me in the future. XP

    1. YES THE FAMILY ROOM PARTIES!! I can totally relate! The thing is, I don't know if I hate it or if I am like "oh, you guys are cool wanting to hang out with me!" lol Like you said, it's annoying, but funny!
Living in a large family has taught me to tune out noise for sure! :D

Thank you for commenting, Hannah! :) ♥

  7. Just found your blog and I'm loving it <3

New novel, ooh, any hints as to what it's about ;) Online writing prompts are my savior, people who come up with them are so creative. HAVING TO PUT A BOOK DOWN IS SO FRUSTRATING I FEEL YOU.

    1. GAH THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
Someone had this super duper awesome idea for a novel, (like, surprise sub-plots and crazy ending kind of things) but they don't write novels, so they asked me to do it for them. I was going to do that, but I may or may not yet. lol I can't reveal anything about the story line though because I'm weird like that. ;)

If you are looking for inspiration there are some really good inspiration boards on pinterest and even some great prompts online!

Thank you so much for commenting, Noor! You are so sweet! :) ♥
