Setember 2016: Month-in-Review

Well, there goes September! It was quite a crazy month for me, but it was also a super exciting month, because FALL OFFICIALLY STARTED!! *screams and dances with a pumpkin* In fact, I was so excited about it that I wrote an entire post about celebrating it! (In which, I blow up with excitement about the season, the pumpkins, and basically everything about fall.)

Ok, so here's what happened in September!

 - I had play auditions (and got a part)! Our homeschool group does a play every year, and for our spring play, we are doing "Get Smart." Play season is always SO exciting!

- FALL OFFICIALLY STARTED!! (C'mon, you saw that one coming.... :p)

- I went to the 2016 True Woman Conference. Last weekend, I had the opportunity to go with my mom, sisters, and some friends of ours to worship and pray with 7,000 other women. It was incredible! I learned so much, and the whole weekend was wonderful!

- I guest posted on Hannah's blog. It was such an amazing opportunity and privilege to be Hannah's first guest poster! Thanks, girl! :)

- I shared a recipe over at A Friend Loves at All Times. We flailed a bit about sprinkles and birthday cake puppy chow, because that's what we made, and it was delicious!

- My novel broke. And I couldn't fix it. *sobs* I hadn't gotten very far into it when I got stuck with the plot. I tried a few different things, but nothing was really coming together, so I ditched it. However, I did get my idea for my NaNo novel, and October is going to be all about planning and preparing for it! Yay!!

I found some really good music this month! I recently got Spotify, and I use it every single day. I love how I can create playlists and have access to every song ever! It's pretty exciting. So, thanks to Spotify, I was able to find some great songs! (Disclaimer: This post is not sponsored by Spotify, I just really really like it. :p)

//Death Has Died by Andy Mineo
(I've never been a big fan of rap/hip-hop, but the lyrics to this one are SO GOOD.)

//The Answer by Josh Turner

//Don't Forget His Love by Ellie Holcomb

//The Lord is My Salvation by the Gettys

September was fabulous!! I am super excited about October, and fall, and all the lovely things that go along with it!

  4. SPOTIFY IS GREAT. I'm listening to it right now, actually. A couple of my recent favorite songs have been "Heaven's Gate" by Dawn Landes & Piers Faccini and "Dream On" by Aerosmith.
    Congratulations on getting a part!

  5. SPOTIFY IS THE BEST. I love it so much! That's so awesome that you're in a play. I'd always thought it would be cool, but there's really nowhere around where I live that does that type of things. YOU GOT THAT NOVEL. I know how it is to ditch a book, but sometimes you just have to :) I hope NaNo goes really well for you!

  8. Oh no!!! I am so very sorry about your novel falling apart...that would be horrible. =( I know how much work goes into writing and to see it dissolve? But you gained experience through it, and if you honor God through your writing, then it is not ever wasted. ♥

Ahhh...plays are always fun! We usually are in a musical during the spring as well. =) This year it's The Little Mermaid...but we aren't sure if we will be free to do it or not. =( It's a great way to have fun, meet others, and share God's love!
